As we near the completion of Sins of Man II : Vengeance with everything we have been through on this shoot there have been times when I have thought this wasn't going to happen and there were times like last Friday Night when we shot the opening scenes of the movie that I thought we might have something special here .
As we get ready to start the promotional work for the movie and try to get it released in theater's here in Maine and New Hampshire as well as a promotional tour filled with Meet and Greet events with the cast of the movie my focus is drawn to Sins of Man III : Tribulation and how I want to send Mortis out with a Bang !!!

Film making isn't as easy as many people would have you believe it is and with a 2 or 3 person crew behind the scenes it's an even more stressful thing to handle that being said we are a few shooting days away from wrapping Sins of Man II : Vengeance and I'm very excited to have this film finished because it's another chapter in the sick, twisted story or Mortis, JJ, Jayson and the rest of the folks in Sandy Creek Maine .
I 've got my eye on Sins of Man III : Tribulation and how all of this wraps up and I know how I want to do it and I want there to be BIG Twists in the final movie of the trilogy for sure but I worry about making a wrong move and upsetting the audience or doing something completely off the wall and confusing the audience . I think what I have planned and written so far won't do either of those things but who knows .
As many of you know the trilogy isn't the only thing on the release schedule for Wicked Carnival Productions with several projects coming out in the coming years . We have a web series, another slasher movie, a sci fi film as well as a few projects still in very early development .
I'm very blessed to be able to have a mind for writing and directing films . Although I do enjoy writing them much more then directing them because I have this nagging thought that what I write never translates to film as well as I've written it, if that makes sense at all .
Admittedly I have a problem with not focusing on what the camera sees and looking at the whole room while shooting . ( This is a bad habit I know that I need to fix) I trust Chris Fyfe who is my Executive Producer. Cameraman, Editor, Music Supervisor etc. etc.)
The first time what I wrote translated to film well was the garage scene in Sins of Man : Rise of Mortis that scene worked out very well because we had alot of discussion and worked out all the fighting etc. before we shot the scene .
I thought Sins of Man : Rise of Mortis was not going to be what I wanted on film because I hadn't seen the finished film until the cast viewing party on October 30th last year . and I was surprised to see that it worked out very well and what I wanted from script to screen was there .
Note : I don't rewatch any scene I'm in on set because I trust Chris to tell me if it was good or if it needs to be reshot, Hell I don't even watch my own movies because I'm my own worst critic .
Last Friday Night was awesome because I felt that what we were shooting was exactly how I wrote it in the script and it translates very well form page to screen . I also have an issue with not focusing on what the camera is seeing as I'm looking at everything around the camera again a bad habit I have but we are working on getting a monitor for me to focus on so I see exactly what the camera sees during every scene .
Note : As far as I'm concerned having a good partner on set is just as important as having a killer script, a great cast / crew and even having a good director because if you're the director and you have a good partner on set you can trust to make your movie what you want it to be then you're already winning at film making .
Alittle more about Sins of Man III : Tribulation as we prepare to wrap shooting on Vengeance and switch gears from filming to promotional work while I'm on the promotional tour I will be working to finish the script for the final movie in the trilogy with most of it already written and a few ideas handed to me by Caitlynn McCauley we have a pretty good story with a twist the NO ONE will see coming :)
I want to say THANK YOU again to my AMAZING CAST Adam Ewing, Bridgett Keith, Caitlynn McCauley, Briana Czarkowski, Courtney (CJ) Patrakis, Cynthia Claudio, Trevor Ponomarkenko, Danielle "Bucky" Buck, Timothy Ashlock, Sheri Collins, Daniel MacInnes, Jamie Engledow, Carmen Lone, Randi Jipson and Demitra "Demi" Papadinis .
You are all so important to the success of this film, the series and the growth of Wicked Carnival Productions and THANK YOU really doesn't do justice to all that I owe to you folks ...
THANK YOU to my Amazing Crew Chris Fyfe, who without his help this trilogy wouldn't be possible Danielle Buck, Trevor Ponomarenko, Courtney Patrakis, Caitlynn McCauley for helping out behind the scenes when ever you can .
We all work together to make this movie happen and we have done some really cool things on this movie because we all want this movie to be successful .
THANK YOU to Jason Eric Bell, Chelsea McColett, Valerie Williams, Jennifer Woods, Joel and Jessica LaVallee, Carmen Lone, Bridton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, The Bridgton Community Center, Bridgton House of Pizza (Best Food in Lake Region) and the Bridgton Police Department for allowing us to shoot in your homes, businesses and property we couldn't do this without you .
We have been very lucky to shoot in some amazingly beautiful locations through out Maine on the first two films, without locations to shoot in it would be one boring movie, wouldn't it ?
