What is my creative process ?
How does it work ?
How do ideas get from my brain to the paper ??
These are three questions I get asked alot mainly when I announce that a new project has started people will ask me these questions . In the interest of maybe giving you all some insight into my warped mind I will TRY (key word) to explain how it all works in my brain .

What is my creative process ??
This is the step that often varies because I get ideas from all kinds of things, TV shows, Movies, Conversations I have with people or just random shit that happens a great example would be I was in total relax mode at a family BBQ on Sunday just chillin' with my grandfather in law on the front porch and we were shootin' the shit when all of the sudden my mind singled out a single noise that of an ice cream truck's music and BAM an idea popped into my head, I took out my phone and started making a note in my Memo pad app . I worked out a few details and then went back to talkin' to him like nothing had happened . Like I said an idea can really come from anywhere at any time and literally doing anything .
I can be cooking dinner and an idea will pop into my head about a cool kill I could use or making a character a cook or kitchen worker etc . I can be walking down the street and see a sign about a school function and and Idea for a location might pop in my mind .
One thing I have learned over the last year or so is to never jump on a single idea until I work out some of the details THEN I can start developing the story and characters etc.

How does my thought process work ??
This is a question that I really can't give a good answer to because most of the time I have no idea how an idea becomes a full fledged outline, script etc. I get an idea sn I become obsessed with the idea until another one comes along and I piece them together until I have enough info to build a story .
Basically as it works like this I decide the killer and his backstory / story first then the characters and who they are, I build the story around them and the world they live in then I decide who dies and how they die . then I figure out the mid movie twist and the finale .

HOw do the ideas go from brain to script ??
Once I get the outline or general idea figured out I will start writing a VERY rough draft of the script will ALL the crazy, weird, sick, twisted ideas that come into my mind and from there I work it down and mold it into a shooting script that can be finished on time and on budget .
After the first draft is written I will go back through it and make adjustments to get the story tight and make sure we can pull off all the things I've written into the script and then it's time to roll the dice and make the movie. There you have it a brief idea of how my creative mind works ...
