We are currently working on the Logline for the movie as well as the DVD text, this will help us focs on the story and hopefully make it easier during post productions with one less thing to do at that time .
I found writing the log line for Sin s of Man : Rise of Mortis was ALOT harder then writing the script and I'll tell you why. you have to take your entire story and cut it down to 25 - 30 words in a short overview of the movie, it's alot harder then it sounds.
I started by writing down Nouns, Verbs and Adjectives about the story and then put words around then to fill in the blanks. I must have rewritten it 50 times in 50 different ways until I came up with the final log line which I have been told by people who have bought the DVD the log line is what caught their attention.
Some advice to new / first time screen writers come up with the log line BEFORE you write your script it works to tell you important plot points that you can expand on during the writing process. I didn't write the log line for Sins of Man : Rise of Mortis until the script was finish and after the filming had started. I had a rough idea when I was doing radio interviews and pod casts to promote the crowdfunding projects.
Stay focused, don't listen to doubters / haters / trolls if you can dream it you can write it, if you can write it you can put it on film !!
